Holly Robinson Peete hopes that the Faith and Family genre continues to expand and build upon its growing momentum so that more families can engage one another through movies, ones that can be enjoyed by young and old alike.
Peete shared, “I have four kids … we’re always looking for a film that we can all go see together, with a message you know? What’s wrong with that?”
Family values and cultivating a positive mindset are important to Peete. Peete and her husband elaborated on how they draw inspiration from biblical texts, such as Philippians 4:13, as well as from advocates like Mary Ray Edelman. “Mary Ray Edelman said, ‘Service is the rent we pay for living’ and that’s a credo of ours,” Peete revealed.
Peete believes that she can help grow the Faith and Family movie genre while simultaneously transitioning from film to daytime television.
