Sitting across from another pair of highly secretive agents of S.H.I.E.LD. is always exciting and Henry Simmons and Natalia Cordova Buckley are two of the key players that make up the talented cast. Being in the presence of the talented Cordova and the imposing Simmons it’s clear that the two are very representative of the characters they play and it goes to show that these actors are their roles. Discussing topics such as the most recent alteration of Yo-Yo’s upper body along with how the cast as a whole brings the feelings of reality onto the set. In the vaccum of space nobody can hear you scream however us fans are screaming for more and so thankfully we have two of the stars of Marvel’s Agent’s of S.H.I.E.L.D. to give it to us.
As we have seen with the progression of the show our favorite characters are now in the vast reaches of the final frontier and that causes the skilled portrayers of Al McKenzie and Yo-Yo to really utilize their imagination. Simmon’s describes how in the past they needed to really try and picture what the special effects would look like after production but in space with different aliens it really is quite a challenge. Buckley even describes getting chased around by their special effects head with a stick and how in reality it is not all that intimidating so they do their best to capture the integrity of a scared reaction. She also went into how losing her arms is a direct homage to the comic books and that it will provide more motivation to her as an actress but also to Yo-Yo as a character. Described as going to a new Disneyland by Buckley it has been exciting to say the least and I can only imagine that the temperature will continue to rise on Marvel’s Agent’s of S.H.I.E.L.D.
