It really is no wonder how ABC’s Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has managed to achieve the title of the longest running TV program from the comic giant. Their cast and crew are phenomenally talented and constantly promote a fun loving nature among each contributing member. The panel; made up of Jeph Loeb, Chloe Bennet, Elizabeth Henstridge, Ming-Na Wen, Iain De Caestecker, Henry Simmons, Natalia Cordova-Buckley, Jeff Ward, Jed Whedon, Maurissa Tancharoen, and Jeff Bell provided an incredibly insightful and playful discussion. Ranging from their favorite moments to their most struggling turmoil’s, their interactions among one another and the connection to the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) were some of the topics touched on.

Strait off the bat Loeb described how the ensemble of actors is meant to exemplify the global presence of S.H.I.E.L.D. as well as provide models of identity to the vast spectrum of fans that tune into the show. Diving into the content of the series Bennet was asked how she felt about the changing nature of here character to which she responded that she researched all the possibilities of where her character could go with the addition of powers. When the group was asked about their favorite moments of the show they engaged in a lot of playful banter most notably directed at Jeff Ward who not only was experiencing his first comic convention but also took it very well. De Caestecker noted how it was fun to shoot the wedding scene and Whedon noted how working with Ward is always funny especially when he put him in a bar with the drink zima to see what the turn out would be. Henstridge highlighted one of the more challenging moment so the show, going all the way back to season 1 where they needed to wear very uncomfortable skin-tight suits in order to shoot a sort of x-ray scene. Ming-Na Wen talked about her defining moment during her encounter with Lash in season 3 as the panel started to come to a close. Wrapping up with the cast’s favorite Marvel films we also were delighted to know that the MCU lays the path for the show to follow so be sure to watch how the events of the upcoming Infinity War film will sway the show.
