After the Attack of New York when the Avengers saved the world, Captain Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) continues doing good for the world under the direction of SHIELD. But when a mysterious assassin shows up to kill Nick Fury just before Fury unveils classified secrets to Captain Rogers, things get messy fast. In order to save the world, Captain America and Avengers teammate, Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), recruit a new avenger, the Falcon (Anthony Mackie), and go undercover to complete their mission.
Marvel Studios’ superhero-packed political thriller is some of their best work yet. Evans’ acting gives us a deeper look at our stoic hero and breathes life into his tragic story, while maintaining his honor and drive to fight for what he believes in. Half of the joy of this movie is watching Captain Rogers, Black Widow, and Falcon interact and become friends. The other half, of course, comes from the incredible action and twisting plot that keeps the story moving at a breakneck speed. Captain America: The Winter Soldier is a suspenseful political thriller that superhero fans and genre lovers alike will adore.
