Spider-Man: Homecoming

273f589b76de2bec943131a1e10ec91ePeter Parker is just a kid from Queens with secret superpowers, until Iron Man shows up and brings him to Berlin to fight Captain America. Peter still has secrets, but they’re getting harder to keep.

A few months after the events of Captain America: Civil War, Peter Parker (Tom Holland) finds himself back at home, living life as a normal high schooler in the morning, superhero in the afternoon, and normal high schooler again after dinner. Peter desperately wants to be the hero he knows he can be, an Avenger. However, he struggles to keep his super-identity a secret after he accidentally shows his best friend Ned (Jacob Batalon) that he is Spider-Man. Super-powered antics ensue, and Peter uncovers an evil plot involving alien weaponry and a villain called The Vulture (Michael Keaton).

Spider-Man: Homecoming is a movie about high school, very reminiscent of John Hughes’ Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and Sixteen Candles, that just so happens to feature a superpowered protagonist. This movie will make you laugh, may make you cry, and will definitely take you on a wild ride you won’t soon forget. Everyone on the production team poured their hearts into this movie, and it shows.
