We made it to 2018 San Diego International Film Festival’s (SDIFF) Night of the Stars, where they honor, award and recognize the unknown amazing work being done in the entertainment industry. John Cho is being honored with the Spotlight award at the festival. He can currently be seen in Aneesh Chaganty’s award-winning “Searching.” In the interview John Cho is gratified by his achievements and having his peers recognize him. John Cho talks about his admiration for San Diego and the love for eating in San Diego. Given the SDIFF is independent, John Cho gives advice to any aspiring actors and storytellers to be authentic to oneself and one’s desires. Cho gives the advice to “Be true to your own voice and stay true to you.”
As for his upcoming projects, he will be in Tiger Tale which will be on Netflix, directed by Alan Yang. Later Cho can be seen on The Grudge, a remake of horror film. Finally, the interview ends with what Cho has gotten out of acting. Cho says he has gotten a lot of empathy out of acting and how he can connect with people through that. John Cho is a Korean-American Actor who is known for coining the term “MILF” in the 1999 film American Pie. He also played the famous role of Harold Lee in Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle. He then starred in the famous reboot of Star Trek as the character Sulu. He also is a lead singer in the band, Viva La Union.
