After the victorious battle against Ronan (Lee Pace), the Guardians now travel together as for-hire heroes, saving problems and lives one planet at a time. However, as this new lifestyle grows, Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) finds himself unfulfilled with the absence of his parents- in particular, his mysterious father. After a rather convenient rescue by a mysterious man, Peter finds himself face to face with what he had yearned for years- his father, Ego (Kurt Russell). While the team is now split in half- with Peter, Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax (Dave Bautista) joining Ego to his home planet while the other half of Groot (Vin Diesel) and Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper) repairs their crash-landed ship alongside watching their new prisoner, Nebula (Karen Gillan). As Peter and Ego get to know each other more on his planet, Gamora becomes suspicious when his servant, Mantis (Pom Klementieff), begins to send mixed signals about who Ego really is. As the team struggles with their personal demons, as well as literal ones in the form of the Ravagers and other angry parties, the Guardians are faced with one of their biggest problems yet: themselves.

This second installment to the series will not disappoint. Just like the first film, Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 has the right amount of comedy and action to give the movie the now iconic formula that makes The Guardians who they are. As they not only battle the typical space pirates and aliens, our beloved rag-tag team of heroes must also come to terms with being together as a team. The film is absolutely fun to watch, with the complimentary and iconic 80s soundtrack to match.
