Jennifer Taylor

Gala-banner-crop-666x381For the 2019 Movieguide Awards, everyone was able to come together and show support for family faith-based films. Luckily we were able to meet up with actress Jennifer Taylor and ask her a few questions about the film she was in and what the Movieguide Awards mean to her, Godโ€™s Not Dead A Light in Darkness. From what she said the film shows the struggles and darkness that Pastor Dave faces personally and that is a reflection of what is going on in todayโ€™s society. There are a lot of people today that are going through their own struggles and they feel that it will not get any better, only worse; but what they need to see or be shown is that the Lord is here for them, waiting to hear their pleas. All they have to do is just humble themselves and put all of their faith in Him and ask for his help. He doesnโ€™t wish for us to struggle, but it is in those struggles where we are supposed to turn to Him. Once He helps us through those struggles that is when we become stronger and one step closer to where we are supposed to be, God has a plan for all of us and all we have to do is look to Him.

After watching this interview with Jennifer Taylor I look forward to watching this film and seeing how they captured this idea on camera. I encourage all of you to do the same because there arenโ€™t many films out there are delivering this message and I think that if you are going through any struggles of your own this is the right film for you!

Host: Machelle Noel here at the 2019 Movieguide Awards! Joining me right now is Jennifer Taylor, thank you so much for being here today and congratulations to your movie, Godโ€™s Not Dead A Light in Darkness is actually being recognized tonight as one of the nominees so can you tell our viewers a little bit about the movie since weโ€™re on the third or fourth one?

Taylor: Itโ€™s the third one –

Host: Itโ€™s the third one! Yeah there should be a fourth one coming hopefully. Can you share with us anything in particular what the movie is about?

Taylor: Um – well in this movie basically Pastor Daveโ€™s church has burned down and you can see a little bit more about him personally and struggles and darkness. You know you get to see him like maybe having a relationship –

Host: Oh okay –

Taylor: I just think itโ€™s so current because for whatโ€™s going on thereโ€™s just so much division and I think that they really – they really that so –

Host: Yeah so given the fact that weโ€™re at the Movieguide Awards, how much does this particular event mean to you?

Taylor: Oh I love this event because I just think that there should be more of this kind of content, so having something that honors that is amazing.

Host: Thatโ€™s great and then what kind of inspirational wisdom can you give out to folks who want to get into acting in this industry?

Taylor: Stay in school –

Host: Yeah thatโ€™s true –

Taylor: (laughs)

Host: And how has acting enhanced your life professionally as a person and spiritually as an actor?

Taylor: Um – you know what I was a really shy kid growing up and I still am so acting, it really helped me to get out of my shell and just be able to connect more with others and to just empathize more with others.

Host: And is there any particular projects that we can look out for from you in the future?

Taylor: Um yeah I actually just launched Messy Faith Films and I wrote a script called Unfaithfully His, which is a faith-based film and Iโ€™m – weโ€™re gonna start crowdfunding it because I want to do it independently.

Host: Good for you girl, all the way! Jennifer thank you so much for being with us this 2019 Movieguide Awards! Iโ€™m Michelle Noel with Jennifer Taylor and hope to see you next time.

Hi! My name is Krista Buligon and I am a Senior at San Diego Christian College. I am a student athlete majoring in Communication with an emphasis in the Film and Media. I have always had a strong interest in all types of movies because they take me to another world. But my favorite places to go to are New York with a crazy spider kid saving the day, Gotham with a vigilante dressed as a bat fighting a penguin or joker, the wizarding world of Hogwarts with a kid with a scar on his head fighting โ€œHe Who Shall Be Namedโ€, or a galaxy far far away with jedi knights battling sith lords with colorful lightsabers. My friends always laugh and call me a super nerd for loving any forms of science fiction but those movies shape me into who I am today. When I am not on the basketball court or working at In N Out Burger I am either on my couch watching movies or writing for fun. I hope that after I graduate I can turn my writing hobby into a career and impact others the way movies have always impacted me. Instagram: @Princess_Krista11 | View My Projects
