Gala-banner-crop-666x381Kristoffer Polaha, famous for his work on Devil’s Knot and Atlas Shrugged: Who is John Galt?, is poppin out on the red carpet with his beautiful wife Julianne to join us at the 2019 Movieguide Awards. The Movieguide Awards is a yearly contest hosted by the Movieguide Company where they award the best inspiring and family-friendly movies and tv shows from the previous year.

For this interview, we discuss with Kris his thoughts on the importance of family values in the entertainment industry, along with his advice on what he believes it takes to succeed in the industry.

Host: Machelle Noel here at the 2019 Movieguide Awards and joining me right now is Kristoffer Polaha. Aloha! How are you?

Kris: Good how are you?

Host: I am doing great! I am such a huge fan of your work over at the Hallmark channel and all your hallmark movies. So what brings you out here tonight?

Kris: My wife and I were asked to come out and hang out and I get to present an award tonight.

Host: Nice! Do you know what you are presenting?

Kris: I do. Two awards, I got something good you’ll have to watch and see

Host: uhh, *looks at wife* a teaser seriously! Well is there anything in particular that you are rooting for tonight?

Kris: I dunno, Mary Poppins was a really good little movie and were doing that and I dunno we’ll see.

Host: So given that we are at the movieguide awards, what does this particular event mean to you?

Kris: I just love that there’s a place where good morals and values are honored in our town. I think we have an amazing industry, I love Hollywood and I love the dream factory that it is. And as much as I love films that are raw and dangerous and push the conversation forward, it’s also nice to have films that are sort of family friendly and rooted in deep moral values and sort of small-town values,  it’s nice.

Host: Very well said!

Kris: Thanks!

Host: Given the fact that were about inspiring people, what kind of inspirational wisdom do you have for folks that want to get into the industry, filmmaking and acting wise?

Kris: *looks at wife* I dunno babe

Host: Since you’ve been in the for a while…

Kris: It’s a hard business.

Host: It is.

Kris: It’s an amazing business, you have to have a lot of tenacity and you have to have a lot of perseverance and you have to really really want, it no plan B. Otherwise do the plan B.

Host: *looks at camera* Sorry! And how has acting enhanced your life professionally as a person, as an actor, and spiritually as a person?

Kris: Well I got to meet my lovely wife because of a job that I did so that was kind of an amazing thing! We have three beautiful boys, so that’s an amazing thing! It pays my bills, so that’s an amazing thing! I love doing it, it’s fun and I go to work and I have an amazing time working and I’ve gotten to meet amazing people and travel all around the world, it’s pretty awesome. And spiritually I think there is no other business or career that tests one’s faith as much as acting because you really have to trust a loving god to just keep providing.

Host: Amen! Preach it brother! Preach it! Is there any particular project that you could share with us that’s coming soon?

Kris: Yeah, on February 22nd theaters nationwide is a movie called “Run the Race” produced by Tim Tebow and his brother Robby Tebow that I am starring in and yeah what else? *looks at wife and hands her the mic*

Kris’s Wife: Mystery 101 for Hallmark

Host: Oh okay what season is that?

Kris: Mystery 101 is like a mystery cycle with Jill Wagner and I, so it aired and we’ve got a couple more coming so yeah.

Host: *gestures towards wife* first off, thank you so much for bringing him here! Be sure to catch the 2019 Movieguide awards airing on the Hallmark channel. I’m Machelle Noelle with Kristoph ALOHA. We’ll see you guys next time! Goodbye!
